Yesterday we started to clear the studio space at uni, getting it ready for the exhibition. I helped to carry some boards and to move some chairs, tables, and lockers. Today I helped to paint some walls and got splattered with paint...

Today I took my photos to a framers called Nickel Press which is based in Seven Kings, Ilford. They had a selection of frame samples in the shop, as well as a catalogue. I ended up choosing a dark brown frame with reflective glass which is costing me £130 for the three A1 photos. They should be ready to collect on Wednesday, hopefully!

Yesterday I went back to ISIS to check my scans. One of them wasn't coming out right as the colours were a bit too magenta, so I had to go back today with all of my other negatives to see if there was another I could use. Luckily I had a couple to choose from so that worked out ok. I got 3 A1 prints done, I'm really rather pleased with them :] Now all I have to do is get them framed...

Today I had a few things to do...I had to collect my processed super 8 film from the Widescreen Centre in near Baker Street. It actually came out ok from what I can see on the reel, so I'm pleased about that. I've been looking into the possibility of getting a projector so that I will be able to show it at the degree show. I also had a tutorial with Minna and Emma to talk about my research book and to check whether I have the right things in it. I also showed Minna my large format photos which she liked. I then went to ISIS in Clerkenwell to get my negatives scanned. I have to go back on Monday to check the scans and see if they need any editing...

Had a tutorial with Emma today, she really liked my photos which I was chuffed about! We decided on which 3 photos I would get printed and talked about framing options. I will get my scans and prints done at ISIS I think, hopefully it won't cost a small fortune :s I want to print 3 A1 photos. We also had a class meeting today about our degree show and the timetable over the new few weeks. I think I'm starting to feel quite excited about the whole thing, feels like it could turn out to be something really special...
